Douglas Peck
Principal, DPMG
Douglas Peck, Principal, DPMG leads the 4KIDS (Program Consultants and Development Group) Economic Development Group. Peck has more than 20 years of progressively responsible experience in public management and management consulting. Prior to management consulting, Peck served as an appointed official (Director, Equal Opportunity and Director, Office of Operations and Management Review). Peck also served as a Principal Analyst for the Office of Budget and Management and Special Assistant to the County Administrator.
As a consultant for 4Kids, Peck is the lead consultant on several economic development group projects including the Neighborhood Emergency Preparedness Initiative, Willson Pilot Middle School, NEON Employment and Training Initiative, and other neighborhood projects involving youth and adult job and business development ventures. On a national level, Peck has led several engagements ranging from operations reviews, procurement analysis, management development, and neighborhood emergency preparedness planning in Washington, D.C, Camden, New Jersey, West Palm Beach and Palm Beach County, Florida to interim and transitional management in Washington, D.C and strategic planning in Plainfield, New Jersey.
With a planning and local government management background, Peck has developed a highly effective and practical approach toward meeting the unique needs and challenges of the firm's clients. DPMG specializes in the development and implementation of results-driven solutions, particularly for diverse urban areas, city governments, and non-profits seeking excellence in public service.
Peck earned a Bachelor of Urban Planning and Design from the University of Cincinnati, and a Master of Public Administration from Baruch College, City University of New York. Peck is an honorary member of Pi Alpha Alpha, a charter class member of the Local Leadership Academy for Public Officials, a former member for the National Forum for Black Public Administrators Board of Directors, a National Urban Fellow and a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Peck also completed training through FEMA and the National Academy of Volunteerism in Alexandria, VA when he served as Emergency Services Planner for the United Way. |
