Prevention & Intervention
To engage youth and their families in opportunities that promotes and develop positive behavior support plans.
College Tours
In an effort to familiarize students with the college atmosphere, tours to local and national colleges are offered. The students have an opportunity to dialog with admissions officers and student residents thus gaining a better understanding of college life.
College Preparations Workshops
As more and more families struggle with the need for understanding how to prepare students for the college environment, college prep workshops are needed to offer information on how to prepare and take entrance exams and fill-out admissions forms.
Educational Camps
The educational camp is an out-of-school time math and reading program designed to prevent the remedial education of students upon returning to school following Christmas and summer breaks.
Mentoring
Exposing youth to positive role models is the primary objective of our youth development efforts. One powerful way to impart those skills and develop upcoming leaders is to partner youth with mentors.
Neighborhood Emergency Preparedness Initiative (NEPI)
Northeast Ohio Neighborhood Health Services (NEON) in partnership with the City of Cleveland uses NEPI to promote emergency preparedness at the neighborhood level, particularly in areas where at-risk youth can be exposed to neighborhood health and safety, life saving information, leadership, community service, governance, and career development all under the auspices of homeland security.
